— LEONID Leonidovich, let's begin, that is called, at first. What is the aesthetic surgery?

Is a kind of plastic surgery which improves appearance of the person, in other words, it is beauty surgery. We do not correct defects, for example, after traumas, but the normal person or a body we approach to an ideal. An another matter, that these ideals are ambiguous. There are universal ideals, and is also such which are characteristic for this or that race or public group. But that who goes on operation, it is necessary to understand, that the surgery is impossible without cuts. Traces from cuts remain, only they will be or are a little appreciable, or will appear in well latent places.

I am engaged in surgery more than 25 years, and particularly aesthetic — 18 years. The plastic surgeon became, because first of all it is interesting to me, and then it is well paid work. I have a choice, and I do of all variety of operations as what I consider necessary on the philosophy, to a vital position and skill. In it one more advantage of my trade.

— What do you think of new trends in aesthetic surgery?

— In general the aesthetic surgery is conservative enough, it applies very reliable methods fulfilled by many generations of surgeons. New here gets very slowly and cautiously, and it is frequent and tragic. In our speciality the surgeon-enthusiast frequently not the best doctor as the weighed position always is more preferable time of unnecessary innovation. Old, of course, it is necessary to update, but it is very cautious. After all the first precept of the doctor — "do not do much harm". So all classical ways of intervention still remain dominating. And that in a press or in advertising is presented as new, actually is for a long time routine. In aesthetic medicine new never denies old, and exists in parallel with it or on its base. For example, there is an old method of a face lifting of beginning ХХ of a century - a skin tightening (i.e. Intervention only at skin level) which is applied and now, but already in a combination to modern requirements to tighten and deeper layers — фасции, muscles.

— When to you speak: «new, unique, only at us», «for the first time in Russia», «for the first time in the world» it is a question of the usual advertising slogans calculated on very trustful people.

Techniques and people

— WHAT represent widely advertised gold threads? Whether it is valid they so are good?

Is not plastic surgery in a broad sense, and only one of receptions. I have no experience of application of gold threads and I am not engaged in it, it is I speciality. But I believe, that effect from them not so big, and the technique has appeared rather recently. Now, by the way, apply not only gold, but also steel threads. In therapy there is a concept «плацебо» (it when the person recovers from illnesses by means of suggestion, that it will help it). Approximately the same scheme operates and with these threads. The beauty is restored more under the influence of mentality, a self-spirit of the patient. The person understands, that to it it became better, but is faster at subconscious level, than actually better. Besides, the person realises, that to it the present operation all the same has been made. The plastic surgery should bear in itself the factor of moving, modification of fabrics. And these threads move nothing, they are under a skin. It is attempt as though to normalise the person, but after all the person is arranged much more difficult and it has functions of the same mimicry which do not need to be broken. Yes, the surgery should aspire to simplicity, but it is simplicity of perfection, instead of simplicity of a primitive thing. And the decision with проволоками is a superficial decision.

Are cosmetic ways of treatment, various masks, influence by physical, chemical agents. But it too not surgery. — This procedure is how much effective?

— At the majority of people all passes successfully enough. Further all depends on that way of life which is conducted by the person. If he watches itself(himself), keeps to diets, has enough a rest, it can have very good and durable result and if the person conducts a wrong way of life it can type weight again very quickly. I do not apply липосакцию simply to clean fat. After all the one who addresses only for it, simply lazy person who wants that I for it have made that it and itself is capable to make. If he wishes to grow thin, should address to the dietician, be engaged in physical exercises, adjust eutrophy, a dream, loadings.

— And what you can tell about operation concerning removal of edges to make a waist of narrower?

— Such happens very seldom. Usually people well represent, that they want. If the patient is not informed, understands nothing, it to operate simply risky. Because, if you will make to it to nose plastic as it is accepted in surgery, he will tell: «Yes you that, I want a nose a duck». It is better not to operate people who do not represent that they want.

— It is how much effective planimetric plastic of lips?

Is very good thing if qualitative materials are applied. It is a question of those preparations which are less dangerous late complications. Now there is a big variety of such materials. The professional surgeon, certainly, will choose the safe. It is necessary to know, that all materials which do not resolve in due course, can give late complications.

— Tell about ways of increase and breast reduction.

— Reduction is faster not aesthetic, but reconstructive plastic operation. In many countries it even is paid by the insurance. The increase is a whim of the woman. The small breast as is beautiful, as well as big. In the different countries there are different ideals, accordingly and different proportions. There are methods which I do not apply owing to that I consider their harmful or inefficient. The best way of increase in a breast remain силиконовые имплантаты. — My opinion — is not present. It is possible to ask and in another way: whether «the person more and more will want to be operated?» Such occurs very seldom, after all usually the person has a requirement for operation as aspiration to get rid of concrete cosmetic defect.

— And there are also such people whom for what will not go on plastic operations. How you think, why?

Is depends on psychological type of people. To such people appearance is not so important, for them it in general is secondary, they are concentrated to internal ideals. The extrovert faster the introvert will dare at operation, among them there are more than the people accented on the appearance. As a rule, it is people without any expressed physical defects, even beautiful which simply aspire to perfection.

— There are cases when you dissuade the patients from operation?

— I give to the person the information on ways and expediency of improvement of appearance and I leave the decision behind it. I have a choice, and I can not do those operations as which I consider unnecessary. For example, if to me the person with a beautiful, well breathing nose I will tell comes, that it does not need to change anything. Or I should understand all subtleties because the person at microlevel can see any lacks which I, probably, can eliminate. For example, it can have beautiful nose and little bit rough nostrils. It is necessary to listen simply well to the person and to understand, you can help it something and whether want as the surgeon.

— What you can give advice concerning a choice of the plastic surgeon?

— I do not think, that among plastic surgeons it is a lot of unprepared. They simply would not sustain a competition. If the surgeon with the long-term experience of work owns in several ways this or that procedure then it has possibility to choose and select that is necessary, and this the best for the patient. Monovalency surgeons, in general, a little that can offer the patients. Is better will be, if you communicate to those who was already operated by the doctor, look at their reaction, their emotions, satisfaction from that result which has turned out. And so, I think, it is necessary to be guided simply by intuition, to understand, whether you trust this doctor or not. After all your trust — the most important.

— What operations are carried out in your clinic?

— Different aesthetic operations, but I prefer those operations at which I receive the best results. I carry to such operations to nose plastic, including with breath restoration, to plastic of eyelids, persons at age changes and increasing to plastic of mammary glands. Cautiously — home-workers!

I went to a beauty salon earlier. But once the master of manicure has suggested me to come home and to make all the same, only for smaller money. Advantages of "private trader"

Professional certificates and diplomas are as well possession acknowledgement by a certain method, a sign of that its owner has passed special training of certain technology, say, to work on the certain device or by a concrete technique.

Similar certificates and diplomas assume paid training which is far not all home-workers for a variety of causes consider it necessary to pass. And here the beauty salon is obliged to send the masters on courses of improvement of qualification, accordingly level of knowledge and ability of such experts will be much above.

By the way, ask the "" expert, whether there is at it a medical book. Almost for certain at it it will not appear. Such book, of course, not panacea, but it testifies, that its owner periodically passes physical examinations (especially by a kozhno-venereologic part), that, you see, it is important. Serious dangers
